It is already release number 24 for Luca Agnelli´s Etruria Beat , what a long and exciting journey thru sounds . Along the way , the label had the chance to discover a few new talents and help develop them . Amongst them , Venezia resident Bastinov . For his second release with ETB , the young italian producer offers 4 amazing tracks : The ep starts with Prisma , a strong tune with a huge analogue synth repeating itself over a swing 909 beat , until a dreamy pad hits the break to release some more action . This tune will be featured on Sven Vath´s Sound of the Season 16 on Cocoon ) . B2 sees Andre Kronert , the man behind so many labels ( most of them are a secret )on the remix duty of the title song . Andre chose to reinterpret the original in a very minimal way : an hypnotic chord , delays , a very strong Basic Channel influentced beat with a pad coming and going .
The flip side starts with Sphere : a solid tune based on a ring Modulator synth sounds thru tape delays floating over a very energetic groove disturbed by strong claps and effects . To end this story ,
Bastinov delivers Triangle which has a very techno flavour from the beginning . The beat is heavy , the kick is delayed , the hat is strong . After a few minutes a Detroit influenced chord develops and gives the tune a unexpected twist , the forefathers of techno are in the place . The music keeps on evolving with some classic strings and effects . A very strong release again for Etruria Beat thanks to our very own Bastinov !!
For its twenty third release Luca Agnelli´s Etruria Beat presents a new V/A, Bud Sampler 3. With tracks from the label finding strong support from the likes of Sven Väth, Truncate, Adam Beyer, Ryan Elliot, Luke Slater, Scuba and many more, Etruria Beat has also been receiving a number of tracks that were simply too good to let go. As such, we’ve grouped a new selection together for you.
First up we welcome the (almost) newcomer Diego Amura. After releasing a strong Ep for Arts he arrives at Etruria with his powerful track ‘Nightfail’, powered by a heavy, distorted kick and a dark vocal. ‘Flip That Back’ is delivered by Avotre’s mastermind Santé, showing his true underground persona with an obscure vocal that will blow your mind.
Tania Vulcano teams up with Audiohell and Jose De Divina to present, in true DC10’ style, ‘Rebound’, a track that is already set to feature on DJ Magazine’s Ibiza covermount Mix, before the mysterious new duo Reform drop ‘We Want It’, a no nonsense heads-down techno stomp of the finest order. Last but by no means least we have Anders Hellberg with ‘Back to Earth’, a track that shows the promising Berlin-based artist is one to watch out for.
Etruria Beat welcome again the berlinian Dj Oliver Deutschmann!
He was already featured on the label with his remix of Dast’s Architect.
Now he offers two original tracks with a defined and aggressive sound, backed by two huge remixes from Etruria label boss Luca Agnelli and from french Techno stalwart Electric Rescue.
Get ready to blow up some dance floors with those 4 hard hitting monsters.
The EP opens with Agnelli’s remix of “Resist”, this track is a muscular and stomping. He catches the originals mood and transforms it into a spectacular version that will leave the dance floor in ashes. BIG! The original version of “Resist” it’s a funky and driving technostomper with house chords that creates an obsessive and powerful rhythm, accompanied with a hypnotic vocal saying “Resist” in 132bpm!
The B side continues with the original version of “Hope” which got a melody in the best Detroit tradition and powerful 808 drums. A stripped dark atmosphere ensure a breathless pace, to the final second.
Finally, Electric Rescue morphs this one into a powerful loopy journey, A synth hellfire as it’s best.
All of them are already Berghain approved and rocked countless other floors.
Don’t be stupid, buy that shit!!!
Kaiser is a Bari-based producer and DJ. He began his collaboration with Etruria Beat in 2013 with the track “Conversation”, part of the VA named Bud Sampler (Part 1), many times played by Richie Hawtin.
Today he presents his first Ep for Etruria, entitled “Medusa”.
The pack consists of two original tracks “Save the Chord”, so entitled because of the presence of some overlapping dub-chords which intersect one each other and create a melody on which grows a well balanced groove; and “Medusa” taking its name by the Ep, is a techno track with an aggressive and imposing rhythm , perfect for the most powerful dancefloors!
In addition then, two remixes by highly respected artists in the European techno scene: DJ Emerson , Microfon Rec. owner and well-known producer on Clr and Sleaze records, infecting “Save the Chord” with his typical sound, comes up with a powerful kick and a impetuous groove, restless.
Finally Matthias Fridell , after many releases on relevant techno labels such as like Gynoid Audio and AFFIN supplies a dark-and-meantime-melodies contaminated version, crossing some Detroit-reminding sounds. Enjoy !
